Montreal Canadiens Pre-Season Schedule Released

Today, the National Hockey League released the Montreal Canadiens pre-season schedule. It’s usually filled with tons of games with the Florida Panthers, Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs. This year, however, there is a bit of a change.

The Canadiens still have a game against the Bruins (which opens the pre-season schedule) and a home-and-home to close the schedule with the Senators. But, it also features two games against the Colorado Avalanche (which is no doubt helped by Patrick Roy), a game against the Washington Capitals and one trip to Chicago to face the Blackhawks.

One of the Canadiens games against Colorado will be in Quebec City. The Bell Centre will host four of the seven games plus one Red vs White scrimmage which is set for September 22.

The Canadiens close out the pre-season on October 4 (which seems quite late compared to this Olympic season) against Ottawa at home.
