The Montreal Canadiens are set to play their annual scrimmage at the Bell Centre to open up the pre-pre-season.

More from Montreal Canadiens

It started after the lock-out in January 2013, and they held one last year where 5$ got you into the event and a free hot dog, chips and drink. All of those proceeds went to help raise money for the Lac-Megantic tragedy.

This year, the event is now free, although you had to get tickets for the event to likely avoid a free-for-all at the entrances.

John Lu of TSN revealed the lineups for the Red-White game via Twitter:

TEAM RED
67 MAX PACIORETTY – 51 DAVID DESHARNAIS – 15 P.A. PARENTEAU
17 RENE BOURQUE – 75 CHARLES HUDON – 25 JACOB DE LA ROSE
49 MICHAEL BOURNIVAL – 58 SVEN ANDRIGHETTO – 34 MICHAEL McCARRON
97 NICK SORKIN – 53 JAKE DOWELL – 60 CHRISTIAN THOMAS

79 ANDREI MARKOV – 77 TOM GILBERT
24 JARRED TINORDI – 64 GREG PATERYN
55 FRANCIS BOUILLON – 78 JOE FINLEY

31 CAREY PRICE
70 ZACH FUCALE

TEAM WHITE
32 TRAVIS MOEN – 14 TOMAS PLEKANEC – 26 JIRI SEKAC
38 NIKITA SCHERBAK – 27 ALEX GALCHENYUK – 11 BRENDAN GALLAGHER
8 BRANDON PRUST – 20 MANNY MALHOTRA – 22 DALE WEISE
96 DRAYSON BOWMAN – 37 GABRIEL DUMONT – 47 JEREMY GREGOIRE

74 ALEXEI EMELIN – 76 P.K. SUBBAN
28 NATHAN BEAULIEU – 43 MIKE WEAVER
44 DAVIS DREWISKE – 36 MAGNUS NYGREN

30 PETER BUDAJ
41 MICHAEL CONDON

Lars Eller will not be playing as he has suffered a lower-body injury. You have to assume that he was slated to play either with Plekanec and Sekac or with Bourque and De La Rose.

Nikita Scherbak makes his Bell Centre debut with a line he should impress with and could start making his case to start the season in Montreal.

Travis Moen seems like he is the odd person out of the fourth line battle as he is playing with Plekanec and Sekac instead of with Prust/Weise and Malhotra.

Nathan Beaulieu who has impressed in camp so far gets a start with Mike Weaver while Alexei Emelin is P.K. Subban’s partner.

The game gets underway at 7:00 p.m. and is currently sold out. The previous scrimmages at the Bell Complex had been webcast by RDS but this one has yet to be confirmed. The game will consist of two 25 minute running-time periods.
